Arrive Curious….. Leave Inspired

Experience the mystery and magic on our most popular Sedge Islands Kayak Eco-tour, as expert Naturalists take you on a guided interpretative paddle through the Sedge Island Marine Conservation Zone. You’ll hear fascinating stories about the parks history, learn to identify resident and migratory birds, explore mudflats teaming with life, and be inspired by the natural serenity.

COVID19: We are pleased to offer our public interpretive programs but the following modifications and policies must be followed:

  • Programs will run at a reduced capacity. Please be patient and check back often to reserve your tickets if your event is full.

  • We offer tandem (2 person), sit-on-top kayaks. We encourage you to share a boat with family members only.

  • Masks are REQUIRED. Staff will wear masks at the launch site and when addressing the group in small spaces.

  • Once we are out on the water, boats must stay 6ft apart and masks can be removed.

  • Participants are encouraged to bring your own paddle and pfd.

  • All equipment will be sanitized between uses.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Water, sunscreen & bug spray

  • Water shoes (any type of shoes that can get wet and muddy!)

  • Signed Liability Form

  • Binoculars (optional)

WHERE TO MEET

Meet park naturalists at the A21 parking lot, approximately 8 miles from the park entrance, to sign in. Parking is limited so please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the program is scheduled to begin. Parking at adjacent lot A20 is encouraged. Please remember to bring your ticket and signed liability form.

Other

  • All sales are final. No refunds will be processed unless the park cancels the program.

  • Participants must pay the entry fee at the front gate.

  • You must be 14 years or older to participate. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
