Conservation Celebration: Sedge Islands
The Sedge Island Marine Conservation Zone is an ecologically sensitive ecosystem within Barnegat Bay. The creation of the Conservation Zone has helped reduce impacts of personal watercraft on submerged aquatic vegetation, which is the foundation for much of the marine life found on the bay.
