Kayak Trip to Sedge is Back for 2024!
Experience the magic of “Sedge”
Sedge Island Natural Resource Education Center (Sedge) is a 100+ year old duck hunting lodge located off IBSP in New Jersey’s only marine conservation zone. As Sedge is not open to the public, participants have the rare opportunity to explore the house and the secluded private island paradise, rich with history of famous sportsman, historians and conservationists. Options for birding, clamming, seining or simply enjoy the views from the rooftop deck will be guided by our Naturalist team.
**Important Details**
All equipment is provided. No kayaking experience necessary. Must be in good physical condition and 14 years or older to participate. Minors (14-17) must be accompanied by an adult. Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray and a snack. No bare feet.
Trips will run rain or shine. There will be NO REFUNDS unless the Park cancels the event. No exceptions.
Meet at parking lot A21, approximately 8 miles south of the park entrance. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the program. Additional parking is located in lot A20.
