Join IBSP historians for a hiking series that explores the rich cultural & ecological history of IBSP. Each hike will focus on a different topic, and will be located throughout the park.
HISTORY HIKE #1 -
Intro to the Park & Reed Hotel
Explore the maritime forest and coastal thicket heading toward Barnegat Bay and learn all about the history of IBSP! The trail also passes the site of the historic Reed Hotel which hosted artists, fishermen and sportsmen in the late 1800s.

Meeting Location • Look for the IBSP Nature Programs Flag at the Reeds Road Parking Lot (approximately 2 miles south of the park entrance)
