Join us for an evening at IBSP to observe this years Strawberry Moon and explore the starry sky! On this gentle hike through the maritime forest, take in the wonders of the barrier island at night while discovering some of the mysteries and curiosities of the universe. Sit around the bonfire on the beach and learn how the moon affects the oceans’ tides and how the lunar cycle influences the behaviors of marine life.
Following the hike and bonfire, participants are encouraged to view the night sky through high powered telescopes, courtesy of our friends at the Astronomical Society of Toms River.
What to Bring:
Curiosity, wonder, and a blanket or chair, drinking water, and bug spray

A flashlight

Event will run rain or shine. There will be NO REFUNDS unless the Park cancels the event. No exceptions.
