Clamming at Sunset by Kayak

Visit the Sedge Islands Marine Conservation Zone clamming grounds at sunset, where you will learn all about clamming and why clams are so important to Barnegat Bay.

A Recreational Shellfish Harvesting permit is required. https://dep.nj.gov/njfw/licenses-and-permits/


Important Details

** No kayaking experience needed. Participants MUST be in good physical condition.

• Tandem Kayak, PFD, Paddle, clam rake

Requirements
• Must be 14 & older to participate
• Minors (Ages 14–17) must be accompanied by an adult
• Shoes required — no bare feet

Meeting Location
• Look for IBSP Kayaking flag at Parking Lot A21 (8 miles south of park entrance)
• Arrive 15–20 minutes early
• Overflow parking in Lot A20
