Ben Wurst, an amateur photographer, will teach the basics of astrophotography in a free class at Island Beach State Park on June 15, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m., at Island Beach State Park. Exact meeting location is yet to be determined, but for now it is set at the Nature Center.
During this hands-on workshop, Wurst will go over settings and techniques used to capture long exposures at night. Attendees should bring a digital SLR camera, a lens that can focus manually and a tripod. Also helpful is a remote shutter release and a headlamp/flashlight (ones with a red light are preferred).
Cloudy conditions will cancel. The program is free but donations to Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ are welcome.
